Set amidst the rolling hills, wide-open skies, and peaceful beauty of The Ranch at La Cresta, Wild & Tame Enrichment School is a holistic, nature-rooted enrichment experience for homeschoolers and traditionally schooled students alike. This unique program blends academics with real life skills, purpose driven exploration, and emotional empowerment; all grounded in a deep respect for nature, culture, and the human spirit.

Wild & Tame is a sanctuary for learning — where children can make art at lakeside under the shade of a tree or in the barn, feed horses, train animals, and or build a garden bed. Here, education extends far beyond the classroom. We cultivate a sense of belonging, confidence, and curiosity through immersive experiences in:

• Emotional regulation & self-awareness
• Trades & entrepreneurship
• Global cultures & heritage
• Fitness & mindful movement
• Creative and performing arts
• Animal and equine care/ Horsemanship
• Homesteading & sustainable living 
• Life skills and purpose-driven mentorship/ Field Trips

      Inspired by the idea that education is not just about books but about the art of living well, our enrichment school encourages students to become grounded, thoughtful, and capable individuals, able to navigate life’s challenges with wisdom, or confidently seek the help they need with grace and leadership.

This is more than enrichment; it’s a way of life. A model of education that values beauty, balance, and connection as much as academic success.

   Whether your child is homeschooled or attends traditional school, Wild & Tame offers a nurturing environment where the heart and mind grow together. Wild & Tame is rooted in nature, purpose, and joy.

We are honored to be partnered this Fall with Crafted Scone, CAPAA Construction, and Mission Hope 

 What Makes Wild & Tame Unique:

• Ranking system: Honors the internal journey not just the age or skill level. Students are grouped developmentally, encouraging leadership, collaboration, and mentorship.
• Hands-On Enrichment: Learning is experiential; our program is rooted in nature, community, and real-life skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 You Pick and Combine Attendance Options:                                     

• Full Time 4 Hours a week

• Monday & Tuesday   9am-1pm 
• 25 weeks for $1,600 (Payments/Charter funds) accepted

Part Time 2 Hours a week

Wednesday & Thursday             9am-11am 

Monday 4pm-6pm

25 Weeks for $1,050 (Payments/Charter funds accepted)

(Disclaimer: Part time will not have the full impact or experiences full time does which may hinder rankings and does not include the cost of field trips)

• If you missed a day you can make -up a day by joining an existing class during the week.                     

Rank Descriptions:

🟤 The Roots – Earth

 “To grow tall, we begin with deep roots.”This early rank focuses on emotional safety, exploration, and the beginnings of mindful awareness. These roots are planted in deep holes of through rhythm, play, and routine.

🔵 The Learner – Water

“The river teaches flow, patience, and the power of small steps.”
Learners begin to explore self-regulation, follow interests, learn grit through repetition that rewards and honors the small and big steps alike. Consistency and dedication are the foundation as they take on basic life skills .

🟢 The Builder – Wind

“With air comes movement — now they shape their path.”
Builders are encouraged to create, collaborate, and contribute. They might lead projects, help care for animals, or start mini-businesses. They journal, reflect, and begin to understand their voice.

🔴 The Leader – Fire

“To carry the torch is to light the way for others.”
Torch Leaders embody purpose and presence. They mentor younger students, lead sessions, take on advanced entrepreneurial or land-based projects, and hold space for others. They begin to leave their legacy.

⚫ The Legacy  – (Honors Rank)

“A true steward serves with humility and vision.”
Reserved for graduates, alumni, or standout teen leaders. They return as mentors, guides, or facilitators — becoming living examples of the program’s ethos. Wild & Tame will  support efforts in landing first time jobs with our collaborating businesses.
